Michael Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt has over 14 years of global private equity experience. As a Managing Director of Samena Capital, he is responsible for sourcing, execution, and portfolio management of private equity investments in Asia.

Prior to Samena Capital, Michael was an Investment Professional at EQT Partners and an Associate in the Financial Sponsors Group of Credit Suisse in Europe.

Having served on the Board of Directors of many companies, he is an experienced board member and active supporter for entrepreneurs in the formulation and execution of transformational value creation strategies.

Mr. Schmidt holds a MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a degree in Business Administration (Dipl.Kfm.) from Goethe University Frankfurt.
