Matt LaPorta started his notable career in the Floridian baseball arena. After a shining start playing college baseball, he graduated from the University of Florida and was immediately drafted into the Major Leagues with the 7th overall pick in 2007. The most prominent successes of his baseball career include being awarded the 2005 and 2007 SEC Player of the Year Award as well as winning a Bronze Medal as part of the 2008 Olympic Baseball Team in Beijing China. In addition to his achievements during his decade-long baseball career, Matt has also proven himself to be an astute businessman. He is a business development consultant. He considers his most valuable business skills to be able to find ways to add value for others.
